The Pumpkin Plot has been created by Alison Greenhalgh.
I am a working Mum with a passion for growing my own vegetables, fruit and herbs. I decided to make my passion my business! I am taking my passion for kitchen gardens and making it into a service to help people who would like to grow their own but don't quite know where to start or simply can't fit it in to their busy lives.
I find like minded people all around and have made a few great contacts along the way. I have a professional handyman (and neighbour) who is great at helping build raised beds and several friends who profess an interest in helping dig (but have yet to actually offer their services!). I have also developed the gift basket and children's party ideas with the help of lots of other women with great imagination who run their own small businesses. The Pumpkin Plot is an ever evolving business - I've even done a Living Willow course recently so now living willow can be part of birthday party or simply a beautiful garden feature!
